5 Week Session Starts April 25

“Prana” is the one life force that permeates all living things and in fact all matter. This cohesive, animating force is also known as “Maha Prana” or great prana. In the human body, this universal prana has been observed to move in specific ways in specific regions in the body, regulating and controlling physical and mental function. Though there are 49 distinct prana vayus or types of vayus in the body, five principle vayus or “panacha pranas” are important for the yogi to recognize. Better Thyroid Function

1 in 8 women will have thyroid dysfunction in their lifetime. For those willing to embrace a simple daily practice symptoms can be reduced if not entirely eliminated. I offer in depth study of the effects of yoga on thyroid function, how to correctly perform postures for the greatest bang for your buck and why correct alignment is essential to healing.

I have first hand experience with Hashimoto’s and precancerous goiter and I want to share my story of how yoga helped me reduce symptoms and eliminate medication.

We will explore breathing, meditation and connecting with our energy body and the Chakra System in a question friendly environment.

This is a progressive practice utilizing multiple techniques in order to release tension, improve core stability and learn key yoga postures. This is a great way to start or continue a yoga practice and reinforce proper form, function and postural alignment.

Foundation to Flight

I hear all the time from new students how badly they wish to do impressive arm balances. I witness their attempts in classes and think “If only I could have a few hours of their time”.

No one starts out in life running sprints and marathons, yet for some reason we have this dillusional idea that we can skip the basics of yoga and go straight to some of the most difficult asanas.

Our bodies have developed poor posture and bad habits and those things need to be addressed before we can soar like a crow. Forget about rockin the peacock. That aint gonna happen until your core stabilizing muscles are activated.

Explore yoga in a question-friendly environment. Learn practices and yogic philosophy that helps increase your self-care and well-being. From core stability to tension release, students will learn the fundamentals of an intelligent yoga practice. You will get individual feedback and encouragement while learning a functional and therapeutically sequenced practice that includes breathing, meditation and asana. Suitable for all ages and abilities.

Yoga for Menopause

An estimated 55 to 65 percent of women experience mild menopause-related problems. About 25 percent report almost no disruption to their daily lives, while approximately 10 to 20 percent suffer severe and often debilitating symptoms.

If you are suffering hot flashes, mood swings and/or a slew of other symptoms it might be time to embrace a home yoga practice. Let me know if you’d like to learn some basic postures that can help. Workshop coming soon!

Yoga has become especially popular for musculoskeletal issues like lower and upper back pain, sciatica, and shoulder, neck and hip pain. Specialized classes that progress from one practice to the next and in depth workshops are a great place to learn and understand the many benefits of yoga.

Body Mechanics

Delve deeper into postural alignment and the bio-mechanics of movement. Take more time to practice individual poses and develop a true understanding of how your joints should work. In order to progress and improve flexility, strength and mobility you need to understand why corrective individualized exercise is so important.


Discover how relaxation, meditation, proper breathing and gentle supported postures effect the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. Learn how to safely and effectively practice inversions and other difficult but therapeutic yoga asanas that are designed to improve health and vitality. Get blown away by the power of slowing down and restoring your body to a state of homeostasis.

Continuing Education

As an experienced teacher (ERYT) I provide continuing education required to maintain registration with Yoga Alliance. Classes/Workshops designed specifically for teachers and advanced practitioners include, hands on adjustments, how to assist a class, creating a safe environment for going upside down and other aspects of guiding students through intelligent, safe and fun classes.
