5 Week Session Starts April 25“Prana” is the one life force that permeates all living things and in fact all matter. This cohesive, animating force is also known as “Maha Prana” or great prana. In the human body, this universal prana has been observed to move in specific ways in specific regions in the body, regulating and controlling physical and mental function. Though there are 49 distinct prana vayus or types of vayus in the body, five principle vayus or “panacha pranas” are important for the yogi to recognize. I have first hand experience with Hashimoto’s and precancerous goiter and I want to share my story of how yoga helped me reduce symptoms and eliminate medication.

We will explore breathing, meditation and connecting with our energy body and the Chakra System in a question friendly environment.
This is a progressive practice utilizing multiple techniques in order to release tension, improve core stability and learn key yoga postures. This is a great way to start or continue a yoga practice and reinforce proper form, function and postural alignment.
No one starts out in life running sprints and marathons, yet for some reason we have this dillusional idea that we can skip the basics of yoga and go straight to some of the most difficult asanas.
Our bodies have developed poor posture and bad habits and those things need to be addressed before we can soar like a crow. Forget about rockin the peacock. That aint gonna happen until your core stabilizing muscles are activated.
